Empatika News: Preparing for an Eco Wedding
A Wedding Full of Wood!
After a nice relaxing break for Tristan and the Empatika team, it’s time for them to get back to work – now it’s time to focus on the Titeux wedding! Of course, as Tristan is an environmental activist, he’s trying to have an eco wedding and attempting to make many of the decorations himself.
Recently, he’s been cutting up pieces of wood from a log that he found to be made into place holders and table décor. He wants to make sure that most of what they buy or make for the wedding can be used again, and isn’t thrown away or wasted. The reclaimed wooden decorations are going to be laser printed with the date of the wedding and the names of the new happy couple, and then re-used as chopping boards, serving trays, table protectors…anything that can be useful around the house so all waste wood is kept forever.
Empatika’s Recent Work: Floating Desk and Shelves
For this month’s project of the month, we decided to use part of the existing furniture and incorporate it into the new design. We designed and fitted a floating desk with floating shelves for a contemporary workspace look. The desk is thick with no visible supports for a minimal effect. We also installed a bespoke magnetic panel to use as a pin board.
We removed the old desk from the other side of the room, and the draw unit was high quality so the team saw no need to throw it away and make a new one from scratch – we don’t like waste! We replaced the front of the draws and made sure it fit perfectly within the new furniture structure.
We specialise in bespoke furniture solutions, so whatever you need just contact us and we’ll be able to design something exclusively for you and your needs.
